AGM and Family Day

I would just like to express my thanks to the committee for a wonderful day today. The speakers were highly informative and seemed to genuinely care about the children in their care. Thanks also to the ladies who provided the excellent buffet - I couldn't squeeze anymore in, though I would've liked too (and James had 3 pieces of cake!) My final thanks go to the ladies from the Diana team who cared for our children - I'm sure they will sleep well tonight after running after Sam!

Glad you enjoyed the day! It's always lovely to be able to see all those gorgeous children. As ever, I never seem to have time to talk to everyone there although it's really good to be able to put faces to names. It was also good to see Helen and Luis there although sadly I didn't get a chance to speak to them. Hopefully everyone attending will have learned something useful from the speakers or from talking to other parents. What a delightful young man James is - it was a privelige to meet both your boys! Hope Sam's DS has survived the teeth marks and that you all got home safely.

Great to see you and the boys yesterday Julie, glad you enjoyed the day.

I would like to thank you for all the positive input you put into the Blog and the newsletter.

I know like Rebecca you also get involved with things on a local basis and keep us up to date with the latest trends in Community Care - Respite etc.,

Wasn't Liz Herd great?

Best wishes
June

Amanda - unfortunately the DS hasn't survived all the mouthing - we now need to buy a new one! I wish Sam would eat real food instead of toys and tv remote controls ;)

June - I did enjoy listening to Liz, it was very interesting indeed. She hasn't seen Sam in a while, probably about 2 years, so she was surprised by how big he is.

Sorry we couldn't make it, it was just a bit too far to drive in one day from Geordieland. Does sound lots of fun though. Out of interest, what is the location of the 2010 AGM?

It was an interesting day, although probably a bit ambitious of me to try my first AGM on my own with Luis - I don't think I got a chance to talk to anyone properly other than the Diana nurses, who were brilliant. Nice to meet you too Amanda, and to Abbie for being my taxi service to the creche and to her mum for nice and chatting to me.
